Why hasn't my credit card deposit been released yet?
The amount of the preauthorization is automatically released upon the return of the vehicle.
It can take 3 to 30 days to return the deposit to Your account, depending upon the bank that issued the credit card and its protocol.
We cannot use the deposit without Your permission, nor do we have access to the authorized amount after it is cancelled by us.
Can my credit card be charged after the rental period?
Should a subsequent charge be needed, You will be notified by phone or via e-mail.
Possible reasons for subsequent charges:
- unpaid parking tickets obtained during the rental period
- obtained traffic fines during the rental period
- damages discovered upon return of the vehicle if You were not present at the time
- lack of fuel in the tank upon return of the vehicle if You were not present at the time.
If You do not settle any parking or traffic violation fines during the rental period, You will
be charged the fine + administrative expenses in the amount of 20,00€ - 40,00€ EUR + VAT.
All available original documents of the competent authorities will be forwarded to You via e-mail.
