Pula is the biggest city on the Istrian peninsula. It was built more than 3000 years ago, on seven hills, and in well protected bay. Beautiful nature, indented coastline, mild climate and rich history are a lure for many tourists. The most famous monument is the Amphitheater from Roman times in which gladiator fights took place. Nowadays, it is used for summer events and concerts. At the city’s oldest square called Forum, Temple of Augustus is located. Forum is a beautiful place with lots of cafes and restaurants. Walking the pedestrian zone along the main street from the square, we will come to Arch of the Sergii, also a monument from Roman times. In the vicinity of the city center, there are lots of tourist resorts, hotels, camps and marines. A great advantage of the city is that the airport is only 7km away from the city. Arriving by plane and continuing the journey by car provides countless possibilities. Beautiful town Rovinj is only 30 minutes drive away from Pula, Poreč is 40, and even Italy is slightly more than 1 hour drive away. Pula is an ideal town for everyone who want to enjoy the sea and beaches, but also for those who prefer a more active vacation.
